Booking & Payment
How do I book an airport transfer in Italy?
Select your route (origin and destination), choose your vehicle type, pick your travel date and time, and complete payment online. The entire booking takes under 2 minutes. You will receive an instant email confirmation with your driver's details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). All payments are processed securely at the time of booking. We do not offer cash on arrival.
Can I modify my booking after confirmation?
Yes — contact our support team at least 24 hours before your pick-up time to change your flight, address, date, or vehicle type. Changes may be subject to price adjustments if the new route or vehicle differs.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance. During peak season (June–September) and major holidays, we advise booking 3–7 days ahead to guarantee vehicle availability, especially for luxury class and minibuses.
Pricing & Cancellation
Are TellMyTaxi prices fixed or metered?
All prices are 100% fixed. The price you see before you book is the price you pay. There are no extra charges for traffic, night driving (standard hours), luggage, or standard waiting time.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
The price is per vehicle, not per person. Whether you are travelling solo or with 3 passengers in a sedan, the price is the same.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up for Sedan, MPV, Premium Sedan, Minivan, and Minibus transfers. Luxury Class transfers require 48 hours notice for a full refund.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. The price includes the driver's time, fuel, toll roads, airport parking, and standard waiting time. The only potential extra charge is if you request a child seat (may be a small fee) or if your journey requires a ferry.
At the Airport
How will I find my driver at the airport?
Your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a name sign showing your full name (as entered at booking). For airports with multiple terminals, your driver will be at the correct terminal based on your flight number.
What if my flight is delayed?
We monitor all incoming flights in real time. Your driver is automatically updated if your flight is delayed. There is no extra charge for waiting time up to 60 minutes (90 minutes for Luxury Class) beyond the scheduled landing time.
What if I cannot find my driver?
Every booking includes a direct driver contact number in your confirmation email. You can also call our 24/7 support line listed in the email. Do not leave the arrivals hall without contacting us first.
Do drivers meet at arrivals for departures as well?
For outbound transfers (hotel to airport), your driver will meet you at the address you provided at the agreed pick-up time. Ensure the address includes the hotel name and street address for accurate navigation.
Vehicles & Passengers
What vehicles are available?
We offer 6 vehicle types: Sedan (up to 3 passengers), MPV (up to 4), Premium Sedan (up to 3), Luxury Class (up to 3), Minivan (up to 6), and Minibus (up to 12). All vehicles include air conditioning and professional drivers.
Can I bring a baby or child seat?
Child seats are available for all vehicle types except Minibus. Please request one at booking and specify the child's age and weight. Child seats are subject to a small additional fee.
Can I bring luggage and how much?
Standard allowances: Sedan (2 large suitcases + 2 carry-on), MPV (3+3), Minivan (6+6), Minibus (12+12). If you have oversized luggage or sports equipment, please mention this when booking so we can arrange the right vehicle.
Can I travel with a pet?
Pets in carriers are generally accepted. Please note this in the special requirements field when booking. Large pets may require an upgrade to a minivan.

Do you cover all Italian airports?
Yes — TellMyTaxi covers all 13 major Italian airports: MXP (Malpensa), LIN (Linate), BGY (Bergamo), FCO (Fiumicino), CIA (Ciampino), VCE (Venice), NAP (Naples), PSA (Pisa), FLR (Florence), TRN (Turin), BLQ (Bologna), CTA (Catania), and PMO (Palermo).
Can I book a transfer from a hotel or cruise port?
Yes — our booking system accepts any address as a pick-up or drop-off point, including hotels, cruise ports (Civitavecchia, Naples, Genoa), train stations, and private addresses.
Is it better to book a transfer or take a taxi at the airport?
Pre-booked private transfers are almost always better value and more reliable than street taxis in Italy. Italian airport taxis use meters and can be expensive for longer journeys. Our transfers have a fixed price shown before you book, with no meter surprises.
Do you cover the Amalfi Coast and Lake Como?
Yes — some of our most popular routes serve these areas. We transfer from Naples Airport to Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, and Ravello; and from Malpensa Airport to Como, Bellagio, Varenna, and Menaggio.
